I have bought Scarlett from Phil Robin and will base her at Swanage Sailing Club. Thanks to all who helped me get this far. Once I have got a little used to her, I hope to travel a bit.

Was it you Perham......on the A35, going past Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon?

I saw Scarlett on top of a VW Golf....

I tried to keep up....considered flashing or waving....but reckoned you would just think I was mad.

Hopefully see her on the water some time.

That was me. Perhaps I need to learn something about cartopping, if you 'tried to keep up'...?

And was that George Gyngell I saw on Hayling itself? If so, greetings!

Hi Perham

Great that you've bought Scarlett; I am down the coast at Castle Cove in Weymouth, so if you ever want to come across & sail in the harbour, let me know

Hi Perham, Yes it was me! You have a good memory for faces! I waved at the car thinking it was Phil Robin, and you were gone before I could work out who it was with Scarlett on the roof. I was also in oxygen debt, having just cycled from the other side of the island, where I now live, so the grey cells were not as fast as they should be. Is that why I sail a Solo these days?............................

Good luck!

George

Once seen never forgotten, I'd say, Claude.
