Hi,
The 2008 Regatta Manager International Canoe World Championships will be held at the McCrae Yacht Club on Port Phillip Bay in January 2008 and you could be competing!
Steve Clark has already offered to squeeze an extra DC in their container for keen sailors
Quote:
Current DC head/boat count is 12.
Tin Tear Drop, unfortunately will not be making the trip, so a major data point will be missing.
Counties represented at this point:
Canada, Australia, Poland, Britain, USA.
We really could use a recruit from another nation to get us to the six nation threshold needed to award World's medals.
Someone could buy Tin Tear Drop, or ask us sweetly to put Lust Puppet in the box.
SHC
And here in Australia we've rounded up the boats that are available and have put them in a list (which will be regularly updated):

Who are we looking for?
- Well we'd like keen sailors from countries outside of Australia, UK, USA, Germany and Sweden to give you a taste of IC sailing and provide a starting point for introducing the class in your home country (plus we'd like to meet you and celebrate New Years Eve with you, more countries means more timezones and more drinks).
- We'd also like keen Australians/New Zealanders who wouldn't just be looking to lease boats, but to buy these IC's (which are great deals) come to the Worlds and see how it's done and then stick with the class and come to Germany with us for the next Worlds.
- And as always we'd especially love to hear from any Juniors who are interested in sailing IC's or competing in the World Championships.
If you are interested in chartering/leasing an IC (or want to find out more about the class, the Worlds, or say the costs of getting a set of sails made) feel free to contact me via PM or at
internationalcanoe@hotmail.com
Cheers
