I've been looking for results but only found Steves quick update on Sailing Anarchy? So who won, what worked and what didn't?

Thank you to the entire Moore Family for their hospitality. Ram Island on the 4th of July is a truly special place. It was great to see new faces on the water, with Rocky, Mike & Sol competing in their first IC regatta. Oliver was right in the hunt until what can only be described as a bad laceration to his wrist had him leaving the race course after Race 7 to visit the ER for stitches. I will leave it to others to say what worked and what did not.

Best

JK
USA-244

Hey hey John! Way to go! We're going to need more information than that though. Someone? Willy?

Not much new in the boat department, more for new people.
Joining the ranks were Rocky Geyer, who has Zydeco and sailed well.
Rocky did things like win the I 14 Nationals back when I 14s were single wire low hounds.... Spent years pursuing other things but is back. I actually got a letter from him back in 1977 or so expressing interest in canoes.
Mike Costello joined us fresh from failing to defend his US Youth's Championship ( crew 420) He has one of the "Simple Sisters" finished out with recycled bits ( Ken Parker's sliding seat and carriage, one of Greymatter's old boards, Ben Fullers mast etc.
If Tim Clark ( Day-O) hadn't been put under house arrest and Cam Greenlee ( Simple Sister) didn't have to play a wedding or some such thing, we would have had all 4 of the boats I started in 2002 finally on the water. Sol Marini was sailing Red Shift, the boat with the most miles on it.
Extra points if you can identify the reference to "Simple Sister"

The racing not very photogenic. Saturday was overcast with an east south east breeze that hung around but didn't build. John was well stocked with puff cards, but also had Mayhem going very nicely. Not that we haven't suffered this kind of ass whooping at the hands of Bill Beaver, John and others, but we have more things to attribute it to now.
On Sunday the breeze was slightly stronger, and Oliver and I ( sailing Wonk) managed to be more competitive and actually beat him in two races.
Oliver really should have finished the regatta second, but his trip to the emergency room kind of put the kibosh on his regatta.
Tommy took pictures.
Because the web site galleries are FUBAR, you have to be modern and use Face book.
Not much from the technical side shown, but they all look about the way they have....

I managed to walk out of the regatta with some sort of nasty infection on my leg, so I am taking it really slow and slamming antibiotics.
Feeling lousy
