At our barn warming/ad-hoc sailing canoe meeting last Friday we bounced around the idea of hosting the 2006 Nationals at West River Sailing Club during the Carl Miller (no relation!) Regatta on the weekend of September 23-24. Only the 505s are also scheduled to be in this regatta.
As the WRSC IC fleet is on probation this year (meaning we are in danger of losing our sanctioned fleet status), this would be a good way to get a few more attendance numbers as well as potentially generate some new interest.
We would still plan on supporting the Rye regatta in October.
Thoughts?
