Hey all..................new to this forum, need some assistance with a pirogue I just purchased. It is a 15 1/2' wooden pirogue. On the front cross brace there is a brass plate that says.....Chantiers Naval
DE-SARTROUZILLE (S. & -Q)????. That last part is hard to read. It is in excellent shape....It also has the name NED in brass letters on both sides of the bow. Any idea of age, value, etc. I will use it as a conversation piece at my trout cabin....it is really nice. Thanx for any help you can provide. Dana

Anybody out there have any idea about this pirogue??? Have gotten no response from 3 different forums I've posted on. Guess no one knows anything about this pirogue!!! Thanx for any info you might have!!!! Dana

Wronmg place to ask I'm afraid mate, this site's specifically about a sailing canoe used solely for racing.

Sorry mate(s) figured you wooden boat guys would know something about this subject...after all it is a type of canoe.......ask me about fishing and I'll tell you about all types and can teach ya mate. Thanx Dana
