The application for the uk team / space in the uk container will go up on the international web site shortly. Its slightly abreviated as we do not wish to publish the associations bank details (for on line banking). Hope that helps every one!

You should have received my entry and I have paid my shipping deposit by bank transfer into the BCU Sailing account.

Also booked my flights with Aer Lingus for £670 from Bristol, a friend of mine advised me that the prices are likely to rise in January as it is a popular time for people to their book holidays. I am scheduled to arrive late Saturday afternoon on the 30th August. If all goes to plan that should give a full week of sailing ahead of the worlds.

Thanks Rob
I booked mine a few weeks ago £725 from Norwich with KLM via Schipol, much easier than from Heathrow.
We still have space in the container for anyone who is intrested!

How close are we to knowing what the total cost for shipping is going to be?

Hi
We have had 10 confirmed boats for the container, with one maybe. I am now working on the packing frames and will be contacting the shipping forwarders to get some more confirmed details. I don't expect I will have a definate cost until the end of March. We will need in due course to have some more details from you all, mainly for insurance purposes and to complete a "shipping carnet" (complete list of what you are taking and bring back to make sure you are not importing things to the US). When I have some more defined info I will mail all of the team, but please ask any questions and I will try and answer them!

hi alistair,

we are also organizing our transport at the moment and we will have two options. either keep the container at the club, or unload the boats from the container on the trailer and let the container away. will you keep your container in the yacht club or will you unload your canoes?

all the best,
arne

in case of keeping it, have you booked a lifting chassis for unloading the container.

Hi Arne
Our Shipping forwarders (peters and may) will be organising the pick up and drop off of the container, we will be keeping the container for the duration of the event for storage/ repairs etc.

Hi Perham
Yes, this is the weekend I am working towards, and I would prefer to pack on the Saturday with some flexability if anyone can not make it
