Thought I would chime in. I owe a huge thanks to Phil, he was great. I agree with prety much everything Phil has said. But at the same time I feel like that if I had another couple of days sailing the boat I would have reduced the numbers of swims. The big main is a lot to handle especially in breez...

So I took Phil S’s new canoe out for a sail on Saturday, and I had a great time. Thanks again Phil. Absolutly beautiful day out on Botany bay. 12-15 out of the North east building to 18 with flat water, great day of sailing. The boat is really interesting. Sort of a cross between a Moth and an IC. T...

when i was little I started out with my dad's boat and just a main, tacking was next to impossible. But I was 11 and content blasting along on a reach. But we took an old main and chopped the bottom panle off of it and put a lanyard on the top. Steve has also done some stuff with adding foam into th...

Definitly did 4 or 5 circles added to swimming with nothing in the back before I realized that it wasn't going to work like that. But I was fully ramped upon the end of the seat steering with heel alone, pretty damn cool.

Well my 15 minutes are up, time to go spray another coat on the acat.

At least in my mind, those and the 10 square meters of sail area have been the defining characteristics of the IC ...

This is sort of what I had always pictured in my mind. I'm not sure about ACs on the same course but I think the best way to answer questions about new designs is to have them racing the same course as proven designs. And as always the bigger the fleet the better.

Dawn and Ben took measurments from all the boats at sarasota including mast position. Hopefully those can get posted at some point. From what I remember from last summer trying to make sense of the different measurements from the boats coming out of the clark camp was that they didn't really make a ...

i just wanted to say I don't think that it makes sense to have three seperate fleets at the worlds. Maybe run the ACs seperate but definitly run the new rule boats with the nethercotts. At Sarasota Bill and Karl were both sailing boats which would be classified as box rule boats and the racing was p...

my estimate is about 185 lbs, which i think is about 85 kg. But Goodchild brings it down significantly and it was really light.
Without Mark I think it gets closer to 195 lbs.
